Car - commercial vehicle signs design and development

Developing your advertising system

Contact, discussion, design, development and application.

Identifying your signage requirements:

  • What do you need in the way of car stickers?
  • Is it a simple business logo and phone number or a removable magnetic sign for the car door?
  • Or are you looking to go beyond merely identifying yourself with a simple vinyl cut car sign to something that really describes your business and creates a big impact?
  • Send a photograph that shows us what you do. We can even create your signs from a business card.
  • We will then contact you with our ideas and a draft image to stimulate your imagination.

MovingGraphics Graphic Design Process

We were recently contacted  by Australian Photography Tours who had purchased a new Ssanyong People Mover to develop vehicle advertising designs to advertise their business. The existing magnetic signs seen below did nothing more than identify who they were and how they could be contacted. They were looking for the WOW factor.

Ken and Suzanne had a beautiful new canvas and going beyond advertising their name and number we wanted to catch people’s attention. As a Sightseeing & Photography Touring business we felt that one of their own photographs might add the Wow factor they were looking for. Ken produced a photograph which was already in use as the banner on their website. The photograph was a beautiful photo of an early morning landscape seen below.

For the back of the vehicle they chose a yellow wrap with text after trying photographs. Ken and Suzanne felt the yellow would make the vehicle more easily scene at night on country roads, the design was simple and not overdone with their services and contact details easily seen from a distance.

Initially we placed the image on the side of the vehicle  and set about making the necessary finer adjustments before finally incorporating the business name and telephone number text then signed off for printing.

The Tiff files provided by Australian Photography Tours were huge at 64 Megabytes which was more than adequate to to cover the 4.7metres long side of the vehicle with a high definition print showing superb clarity and detail.

Your business needs may be totally different. That's OK, because a well composed image of 3 Megabytes will do the job!

The Select Mobile Mechanic design on our Home Page was supplied by our customer. They had definite design concepts and colours and supplies the sketch we needed to turn those ideas into workable EPS files.

Blitz Property Maintenance on our Vehicle Wraps was pretty much designed from the ground up. There were a couple of designs and colour schemes we tried that didn’t capture the image Blitz were trying to convey. We succeeded with a unique and very striking look!

Initially the spare wheel cover, which incidentally was moved across to the other side with some 4WD accessorising that was done, presented some challenges. They were soon overcome with some creative thinking. The design incorporated the use of Conformable Cast Chrome Vinyl, new to the sign making industry .

Bring what you have irrespective of whether it is a idea, a business card, photograph, a fully sketched design or a picture of something you have seen that you would like us to explore.

Lets work through it together. One thing for sure you’ll be more than happy with the results.

Example 2: Select Mobile

Select Mobile presented to us with a sketch to demonstrate their ideas and requirements, the sketch is seen below on the left. The finished vehicle on the right is eye catching and very attractive and a fine example of using high quality modern day materials aided by computer design.
In this instance we received a sketch but we often work from a business card or photograph which we can explore and expand on to develop our clients ideas.
You may not know what you would like on your vehicle because of the many options available, not a problem, we can help by showing many designs, materials and templates.

If you see a design on the road take out your mobile phone and take a photograph, its as easy as that.
